For the Young Shits April competition, we were tasked with choosing and resurrecting a dying brand. The challenge: honor its roots while reimagining it for the modern world with a social-first, AI integrated campaign.
For us, the choice was clear. Nothing says mall-wandering nostalgia with tech-driven potential quite like Radio Shack. It’s time to bring back the Shack.
We understand the world better when we can hold it in our hands. There’s something powerful about technology you can touch, take apart, and make your own.
But today’s DIY community is fragmented and support is limited. Online shopping is slow, confusing, and unforgiving when you’re still learning.
Radio Shack is back as the home of the DIY tech revolution. With modern stores and interactive experiences, we’re rebuilding a deeper connection with tech. We’re inspiring the next generation to build what’s next.

Each month, we’ll issue a DIY challenge from “Turn your broken tech into something useful” to “Build an unnecessary gadget that solves an imaginary problem.”
Makers post their creations using #diyhertzsogood and the best entries get featured across our channels. Winners earn in-store prizes and, more importantly, community cred.
